From August 1, 2019, international transportation of pets is carried out exclusively on the basis of standard passports
To the attention of pet owners (cats, dogs) who carry out international transportation of their animals!
From 01.08.2019 information from passports for animals of an unspecified sample when crossing the state border is not taken into account. Movement of domestic dogs and cats is carried out exclusively on veterinary and sanitary passports for a pet of the established sample.
We remind you that the only form of veterinary passport for a pet (pets – cats, dogs) approved by the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy from 26.10.2017 № 578, which amended the Rules of filling, storage, write-off of veterinary documents and requirements for their registration ( order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy dated 01.08.2014 № 288).
Thus, according to the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the basis for the issuance of a veterinary passport is: clinical examination of the animal; availability of appropriate diagnostic tests and prophylactic treatments, including rabies vaccination.
The grounds for refusal to issue a veterinary passport are defined in part seven of Article 32 of the Law of Ukraine “On Veterinary Medicine” and provide:
Non-compliance with veterinary and sanitary measures provided by law; complication of the epizootic situation in the relevant territory, capacity (object);
Impossibility of direct inspection of the object of state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision;
Lack of documentary evidence of the epizootic well-being of the place of origin and veterinary and sanitary condition of the facilities; lack of necessary veterinary treatment of animals, their quarantine, relevant research and / or expert opinion.
Veterinary passport for the animal is valid throughout the life of the animal
